Another boring weekend.

I was supposed to pratice and maybe even try out with some teams tomorrow. However, last Saturday I managed to tear off a good amount of skin from my left knee. So, running is irritating, kneeling painful, and sliding completely out of the question. I need a new pair of pads. Bah

Hey, is anybody really weirded out by that tv ad for Calvin Klien's new fragrance, Crave? The one with the guy with long blond hair, dancing around in nothing but jeans. It's really creepy, I think he's wearing too much makeup or something.

And yes, Chris, I'm aware you don't watch any TV besides "Alias".

So today in the office, I heard the systems guys have been directed to start looking at Blackberry integration to the mail system. If you don't know what a Blackberry is, just think of it as a text cell phone; people use them alot for wireless e-mail.

Now, this brings me to one of growing irritants. I'm so sick of people with this work-work-work mentality. I mean, come on, your job is SO important that you can't be without e-mail access for your long lunch on Friday?!? Or perhaps, by always staying connected, it makes you feel important. Well, I say enough. I for one have developed the opinion that if your company truly needs access to you at all hours, then your company isn't adequately staffed. Granted, I figured this out 3 years ago. Who doesn't love having 24/7 support at a 40/5 rate?

My priorities are not always straight, but I'm glad I no longer feel work is #1. Now where can I find a "Get a Life" t-shirt...
