The power of DVD!

Fox is releasing the full first season of "24" to DVD on Sept 17.
Disney announced they will start to release "Sports Night" and "Felicity" on Nov. 5.

"Sports Night" was really funny and sharp, hardly deserving cancellation. Oh wait, maybe that's why it didn't make it on TV. Now, "Felicity", uh, I have to admit, that show's a guilty pleasure. I'm not sure why. Probably something having to do with their ability to milk such a small number of relationships for so long. Plus there's the fact that no one other than Jennifer Garner has been on the show!

I feel like I'm going to have a busy week outside of work. Some people I've played paintball with a few times lost a player for a tournament, so they asked me to come up and fill in. Of course, I have to drive 5 1/2 hours to the field...doh. Good thing it's in Mammoth, where I have lodging.

So now, I find myself making a list of things I need to take care of before I take off this week. So far I have to coordinate with the team (decide if we're sharing paint), pickup paint, replace some pods (easy), find some new footwear in case the grass is slippery (it will be, it's been raining), and maybe, just maybe get that satellite radio for my car.

So today I got another e-mail from an old girlfriend at Biola. I've mailed her a couple times recently. It's rather nice talking with her, not that I have any other ideas...considering she's married. The thing that struck me this morning is how odd it is comparing our lives. I mean, here's my first official girlfriend, already married, with one child and another on the way, and I'm still just floating along.
